Why We Are, The Way We Are
Our founder, Kate Keener, began her golf journey the way most of us do. Brought to the course by some golf obsessed nut, plied with a day of sunshine, good times, and plenty of snacks. She was quickly bit by the golf bug and started playing with more regularity, hitting the range (occasionally), and ALWAYS visiting the pro shop before a round. The pro shops always left a little something to be desired, and thus, Duff Daddies was born. "If I can't find stuff I'm nuts about, why don't I just make it myself?", she'd say. Fast forward, and Duff Daddies became the beacon of hope for her. If she couldn't play good, she was going to look great either way.

Kate Keener, Founder
Years Playing: 3-ish
Handicap: "I dunno, put me down for a 5 on that last one"
Hometown: Crystal Lake, IL
Kate has always had a high motor, even if that motor pulled her in multiple directions at times. When she's not on the course, you can find her snuggling with her kitties, enjoying an immaculately plated chacuterie board, boppin' and shoppin' at local street festivals, or straight-lining a run on her snowboard.
Duff Daddies is her brainchild, stemming from her background in tech sales, a love for design and crafting, and a unique eye for style.
Fun Fact: Kate is an AVID rock collector. If you're actually curious, she'd be happy to show you her petoskey stones (but really, please ask....she's very proud of them).
Eric Phillips, Junior Co-Founder & Assistant to the Founder
Years Playing: Far too long to be this bad
Handicap: 20, but there's always room to bump that up some
Hometown: Ballwin, MO
Eric loves the game of golf more than the game loves him back at times, but that's never stopped him from blocking off the work calendar to rip a quick 18. Rounds with the boys quickly transformed to rounds with the fiancé. The smartest thing he's ever done was ask Kate to marry him, and the second smartest was introducing her to the game of golf. "You get to play twice as much if she plays with you, dude" quickly became a catchphrase of his.
Outside of golf, Eric is a rabid fan of keeping track of which sports team wins by how many points, hopping online with the boys, walking the baby boy Sullivan, playing music too loud (according to some people who shall not be named), and trying to keep up with Kate on the slopes.
Fun Fact: The Karaoke stage frequently calls his name, and bar patrons have called his rendition of "3 AM" by Matchbox 20 "a true 'where were you when' moment".
